It threatens your branding

Branding is a company’s most important asset and should be protected at all costs. In a review driven society, failing to protect your brand can result in a customer’s loss of trust and confidence in your service or product. A damning example is Google+, a social network service operated by the notable search engine, was attacked by a security bug which allowed third party users to access more than 400,000 Google+ profiles.

The bug analysing data revealed the full names, birthdates, gender, occupation, relationship status, profile photos, and the places each compromised user lived. As a result of the breach, Google+ is reportedly set to shut down its services.
